A couples massage is a simple idea with many versions. Some are two massages in one room. Some are a package with tea, a bath, or a meal. Some use two therapists working at once. This guide shows the prices we could verify, what to ask before you book, and how to choose a setup that suits you both.
Prices from recent articles
A February 2026 roundup from The Beat Asia lists several Manila couples offers. One hotel spa’s Valentine’s package is listed at PHP 9,500 for two, with a separate single price of PHP 5,000 for one person. Another hotel couples package is listed at PHP 10,200 for two, with taxes and service charge extra (shown as ++). A Thai head spa couple package is listed at PHP 5,999 for two, and a hotel spa’s Valentine’s promotion at PHP 3,000 for two. The same roundup notes a PHP 2,000 discount for one resort spa when booked through a travel platform.
An older feature from February 2023 in Lifestyle Asia lists couples treatments at City of Dreams Manila. At one spa there, the sets were PHP 14,800 and PHP 18,800 net. At another, they were PHP 10,800 and PHP 15,800 net. They are old, so treat them as a sense of the top end, not a current rate.
What couples packages usually include
- Two treatments in one room: the simplest option. Both partners have a massage at the same time, with separate therapists.
- Four-hands massage: two therapists work on one person at once. Because two therapists are working, expect the rate to be higher than a single-therapist session. Ask for the figure before you book.
- Packages with extras: some offers add a bath, a meal, or a drink. Read what is included, and ask what is optional.
Questions to ask before you book
- Is the price per person or for two people?
- Are there two therapists, or one therapist for both of you?
- Is service charge or VAT included in the quoted price?
- What is the session length, and what happens if one of you wants to stop early?
- Can we choose different treatments, and is the duration the same for both of you?
Setting up a home couples session
A home visit for two needs more space. Plan a room large enough for two massage tables or mats, with a working shower nearby if you have one. Our in-home massage checklist covers the setup. Check the minimum hours, since a couples visit often needs more time than a solo session.
Consent and comfort
A couples massage works best when both partners agree to it, and both can say when they want to stop. Talk about pressure and comfort before the session starts. Either of you can ask for a different therapist or end the session, and neither needs to explain why.
Who books, and how
One partner can make the booking, but both of you should confirm the time, the treatment, and the price. Share the booking details so you both know the arrival time and the therapist’s name. If you are booking a home visit, make sure both of you are home for the start.
Agree on the session before you arrive
Talk through what would make the session feel right for each of you before it starts. Cover pressure, music, room temperature, and whether you want to talk during the massage or stay quiet. A short conversation at the start is easier than a long silence in the middle.
Choosing a format
Couples sessions come in three main formats. The first is two treatments in two rooms, which suits couples who want quiet time with their own therapist. The second is two treatments in one room, which many couples find more relaxed, since you can talk during the session if you want to. The third is four-hands, where two therapists work on one person at the same time. Choose the format first, then compare prices within it. A four-hands session costs more per hour, so a single-therapist couples session may be the better value.
Gift cards and bookings for two
A couples session makes a thoughtful gift, but read the terms before you buy. Check whether the voucher has an expiry date, whether it covers a service charge or taxes, and whether it can be moved to another date. Ask the provider to confirm the treatment and the duration in writing, so the person receiving it knows what to expect.
Where to look
Start with the treatments you both like. Our Swedish massage page is a good starting point for a classic session, and the deep tissue page covers firmer pressure. Compare providers in Makati or BGC, and read the reviews that mention couples or two-person sessions.
Share your feedback
Tell the therapist what worked for each of you, so the next session can match it. A short, honest review on the platform also helps other couples choose. Mention the pressure, the timing, and how the room was set up. Those details are what another couple will want to know.
Budget a couples night
Add up the session, any service charge or VAT, the travel or hotel costs, and a tip if you choose to give one. Decide what matters most, the treatment, the setting, or the extras, before you pick the offer. Our massage price guide gives the ranges for single sessions to compare against.
